Greetings from the Commander:

Hope the start of summer is treating you well.  It has not been the best in weather so far.  It is the beginning of a new year for all the officers.  Please remember to attend all meetings, your presence and ideas are needed.  We have finished the deck.  It looks great!!  Please come an enjoy the outside area that we have completed for your use,  We need you to come and enjoy our Post.  Bring your friends and neighbors to see the new look of your Post and be proud that it is the best in the state.

Memorial service was great again, Thank You for all that attended.  I want to thank the ritual team for the great job of installing all the officers of the Post, Auxiliary, SAL, and the Legion Riders.  If you were not there, you missed a great meal and program.  The next CMC and Executive Board meetings for July will be pushed back one week to July 8th.  Starting time will be 6 pm for the CMC meeting, with the Executive Committee to follow.  After that we will have our normal Post meeting at 8 pm.  Starting in September, the Post meeting will start at 7:30 pm, the same time as the Auxiliary meeting.  We will be having a Deck Opening party on Saturday, August 14th, starting at Noon.  Details will be posted in the Club Rooms.  We hope to have a bean bag tournament as part of the festivities.  Please mark that day down in your calendar, and come and enjoy a day of fun on your new deck.

I want to thank our color guard for taking 2nd place in our 10th District Parade against all the other color guards that competed.  They will be marching the Maple Grove Parade on the 15th of July.  The District Convention went great, thanks to everyone that gave a hand.  If we did not have the whole Legion family there to help, we could not have pulled it off, but you all showed up and thanks to ALL of you, we did it.  That is what a Legion is all about, helping out where it is needed.  We will have a dinner to thank you all that gave the Post a hand in the District Convention.  That date will be announced later.  Again THANK YOU  to the Legion family.  I hope ou all have a great 4th of July.
