The
New Year has just begun, and as we look back at what we have accomplished this
year should we ask; is it all that we wanted ? Lets
start the new year out, by keeping our soldiers in your prayers as they are
protecting our country and our freedom. They were not home for the holidays as
we were. If you get a chance, help the families of solders, who are
deployed overseas, they need all the support that we can give them. If
you know of any family of a soldier that needs any help, please
let the Post or myself know. We are there to help them.
By
the time you read this our new lift should be operational. We still are
raising money to pay for the lift (Give The Legion A Lift), so if you want to
donate to this, please send it to the post, along with a note saying its for
the lift. Thank you to all that have
given.
We
will be taking out the pull tab room in mid January, so please excuse us for
the little mess that will be created during this remodeling.
We
are starting to see a few new faces at our general meeting, which is the 2nd
Thursday of each month. If you have not been to a meeting in a while, please
come join us and see what is happening around the post. If you would like
to get involved in any of the Legion programs that we have, let us know. We
will be glad to take you up on your offer.
The
10th District Mid Winter meeting , will be at the
Anoka Legion on Saturday Jan 9th, 2010. The
Snowmobile Rally for the 10th District will also be on the last weekend
of January. Our membership is doing great, thanks to Bill our 1st Vice. The
post is at 91 % at this time. If you have not sent in your membership ,
please do, and if you have thank you .
I
want to thank Bob Hammond for donating a 1/4 of a beef , to be given to a
soldiers family ,as the husband is overseas. It was be delivered before
Christmas. Thanks again Bob, you just made two families very
happy.
Again,
please remember to keep our soldiers in your prayers.
