S.A.L. Members
This is my last newsletter as your Squadron Commander. I would like to thank everyone who put up with me this year. I had a lot of fun working with the entire membership. There are a few members who helped more than others. Thank You Jason, Terry, Earl, Jeff, and Mike. Everyone has made this year very special to me. It was also nice to work with Commander John, President Pat, and Director Dan. With all the great members at Post 172, the entire Post will continue to grow. We are now the second largest Post in the 10th District. Let's go for Number 1.
For those of you who did not make it to the Birthday Dinner or the last meeeting, I am proud to announce that Mike Kangas was neamed the Squadron 172 member of the year for 2009. Mike planned and followed up on the two Casino Runs that were held this past year. He also plans on doing these runs in the future. Thank You Mike.
Our May meeting has been moved to the first Sunday in May (the 2nd) because Mothers day falls on the regular meeting day. This meeting will be very important to the Squadron because it will be elections for the next group of officers. Please show your support by attending and taking part in the election process.
The 10th District convention will be held at the Post May 21, 22, and 23 with a parade on the 22nd at 5pm. all members of the Color Guard are asked to attend and show your pride for the Post and Squadron. We also need help in putting the Convention Booklet together. Anyone interested , contact Bill Johnson or Gloria Burt.
Again THANK -- YOU to everyone for a wonderful 2009 - 2010 year. I will never forget this year or everyone who was there to assist.
